The voice actor who brought GLaDOS to life for Valve's Portal games is now calling for Portal 3 to reinvent the puzzle franchise.

A future with Portal 3 is a gaming future we want to see. Knowing Valve though, there's truly a chance that the much-requested sequel could never come to light. In yet another example of Valve's failure to count to three, another sequel to Portal has failed to materialise - leaving fans in serious distress.
The series' second outing is one of the greatest puzzlers ever conceived, and narratively, there is more than enough wiggle room to make a sequel happen. 11 years later... we're no closer to Portal 3. Now, one of the game's biggest stars has called for its creation.
GLaDOS Actor Wants Portal 3
One of us. In a new interview posted to the KIWI TALKZ YouTube Channel, actor Ellen McLain has revealed that she wants to see a third Portal game come to life. If you don't know, McLain is known for her role as the Portal series' big bad GLaDOS.
"Well, write in!" she says, when a third Portal game is brought into the conversation. "Email Valve! You've got my blessing, say 'Ellen wants to do a Portal 3!'"
Of course, the game is likely years away, but a lot of alumni from the games are starting to rally up and hope for the game's arrival. Who knows, maybe McLain's request could push Valve over the edge?
Portal's Writer Says He Wants Portal 3
It's not just McLain who wants in - one of the writers who contributed to both of the previous games also spoke on the KIWI TALKZ podcast to declare that he wants to be a part of a new game.
"Anything you can do, let's do it, let's make it happen," says writer Erik Wolpaw. "Because yeah, I am also not getting any younger. Like, we are reaching the point where it's crazy to think, literally gonna be too old to work on Portal 3, so we should just do it." It looks like the whole world is rooting for a third game, and now it falls to Valve to make the choice. Maybe it's time to step away from the Steam money machine for a minute, lads?
