GTA 6 fans convinced they’ve found the game’s official map

GTA 6 players think the ever-crafty Rockstar Games has secretly hidden the game's massive map in some promo artwork - showing off the huge size of the next Grand Theft Auto.

Time to stick on your shades, a Tom Petty CD, and mix up a piña colada because Vice City is calling out your name. Aside from the maligned GTA Trilogy, it's been 21 years since we visited Vice City in Rockstar Games' lauded Grand Theft Auto outing.

It looks like we're visiting a very different Vice City in GTA 6, with us leaving behind the original game's '80s setting and jumping forward to the present day. We're also leaving Tommy Vercetti's story behind, this time focussing on the Bonnie and Clyde duo of Lucia and Jason (well, we assume that's his name).

We've combed through every pixel of the first GTA 6 trailer, and as things slowly come together ahead of the title's long-awaited 2025 release, Rockstar has plenty of time to let things cook. Now, fans think the ever-crafty developer has hidden the full GTA 6 map in plain sight.

Over on the GTA Reddit, eagle-eyed fans think they've spotted a pixelated version of the GTA map in the game's promo artowkr. The image is taken up by the game's two protagonists, so you can't blame us for missing the potential map tease in the bottom right-hand corner.

When scaled up, it definitely looks like it could be a GTA 6 map, and if this is the real deal, it proves Rockstar is going with the mantra of "go big or go home." With everything from airports to beach backdrops, nightclubs to a fictionalised Everglades, we always knew the GTA 6 map would be massive.

Other fans are definitely sold on the idea that this is the GTA 6 map. When placing it side-by-side with the leaked GTA 6 map that players have been building, they look eerily similar. We know GTA 6 takes place in Leonida, which is a fictionalised version of Flordia - this lines up with the excess of water on the potential map.

Up there with playable characters and release dates, the GTA 6 map is one of the big reveals. Even though there could be two years until GTA 6 rolls out, don't expect Rockstar to give us a full map reveal. Still, considering we've only had one trailer and one piece of key art but already gleaned so much, those leakers are sure to be hard at work.
