A recent tweet from Rockstar Games has given fans even more reasons to think that GTA 6 is on the horizon.

While the tweet itself is advertising an event freebie for GTA Online, eagle-eyed GTA players have noticed a background hint which points towards the next game in the franchise.

A Rockstar tweet seems to include another GTA 6 teaser

A recent tweet from Rockstar Games has fans of the franchise excited for GTA 6.

The post, which is advertising the ability to collect a free Red Happy Moon Tee in GTA Online in celebration of the moon festival, includes a picture of two characters wearing the shirt.

In the background, the letters VI are clearly visible, getting players excited.

Rockstar hasn’t made any official announcement for the next game as it stands, however, that hasn’t stopped eager fans from finding hints in the company's posts.

Fans are convinced GTA 6 hints are being included on purpose

In response to the tweet, several people have pointed out the letters, and are hoping that this is a nod to the future game.

A particularly passionate player, LoadingMeerkat, has even gone so far as to use the tweet to decode when they think the game will be released.

They said: “GTA games are known for being teased on Tuesdays, Moon phase lines up with Tuesday, October 3rd, Female and male protagonists as we'll see in GTA 6, VI clearly visible on the sign, Rockstar has posted similar images before other GTA game trailers/teasers were released.”

One fan suggested that perhaps the inclusion of the V and I were unintentional, saying: “Maybe the VI is just by chance, don’t have to mean anything,” however, others were quick to point out that it looks too intentional to not at least mean the designer has a sense of humour.

Others have simply acknowledged the subtle hint, applauding the Rockstar team for keeping them on their toes.
