A picture of a car on the GTA subreddit has caused a stir as player’s can’t seem to agree on what colour it is.

Some players have jokingly compared the divisive car to the blue and black or white and gold dress fiasco of 2015, while others think it may be a glitch causing the confusing colour.

No-one can agree on what colour this car is

Reddit user Objective-Table-8652 took to the GTA subreddit earlier today to ask what colour people thought a certain car in GTA 5 was, and received a pretty mixed bag of results.

Some players thought the car was just green, however others disagreed, assuming that it had to be a mixture of colours.

The general consensus appears to be that the car is matte black with a pearlescent green finish.

One player wrote: “Matte black with a green pearlescent overlay.”

Another said: “Looks like matte black with a lime green pearlescent? Not sure if you can even apply pearlescent to matte colours though.”

Several people suggested that the colour may not be easily replicable if it made use of a popular glitch that allows pearlescent colours to be placed on top of matte ones.

Some other suggestions included red, brown or purple, either as a base-coat or the whole car, with some people thinking that the green could just be a reflection.

While not many people are debating that the car has some kind of pearlescent green or yellow finish, the base colour of the car and exactly what exactly needs to be used to get this colour has been widely debated.

This led to some commenters comparing the car to the blue and black versus white and gold dress meme which circulated online in 2015.

“It’s the dress all over again,” one user wrote.

Another user suggested “Gold and white”, to which a second user jokingly responded “That's clearly blue and black, what the fuck are you talking about.”

One Redditor aptly summed up the comparison, stating: “Ah shit here we go again.”

Others compared it to the Yanny or Laurel audio from 2018, in which people heard either the word Yanny or Laurel when they listened to the clip.

While the car is most likely a dark matte base coat with a pearlescent green finish, making use of the popular paint glitch, the debate has clearly been keeping the GTA subreddit entertained.
