With Modern Warfare 2 players going out of their minds with boredom, Season 2 is coming to liven up the party. With it comes the best game since Pass the Parcel.

Gun Game is a classic party playlist back from Black Ops 1, where x_CoDDemonz_x and the squad would dart around Nuketown, chaining kills with random weapons before having to really show their skills off with a ballistic knife to end the game.

Over the years, Gun Game has been adapted into a fun way to pass the time and a chance to try out blueprints and guns that you usually wouldn't go for. Now, it's set for a 2023 arrival, all thanks to Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward Confirm Gun Game for Modern Warfare 2

Just a few days after revealing that Infected - the gradually difficult party playlist derived from the Mike Myers minigame - will be coming as a game mode in Modern Warfare 2, the developers have confirmed it will be joined by Gun Game.

Taking to Twitter, Infinity Ward let slip early that Gun Game will be among the playlists in Season 2, when it releases on February 15.

The good news doesn't end there. Gun Game will arrive upon the launch of the delayed Season 2, not during a mid-season update as much content usually does.

Greedy Modern Warfare 2 Fans Want More

Having seen Call of Duty's social media page reply to two players' wishlists, other Modern Warfare 2 fans are chancing their arms to get what they want.

"If COD makes snipers 1 shot head again I'll drop a crazy montage", said FaZe Clan content creator "Testy," while fellow clan member "Scope" said, "If COD drops 10v10 moshpit, I'm making a vid".

Other fans simply called for more maps, the blowing up of Santa Sena, the Gunfight playlist, and theatre mode.

At least the return of Gun Game will add a fun and entertaining way to play Modern Warfare 2 in the meantime, while also opening up avenues for more party games to be released in the future.
