The Modern Warfare 3 Beta is already ironing out a lot of cracks.

Just hours after the Beta kicked off, Sledgehammer Games was forced into nerfing one of the most broken field upgrades, and there seems to be a lot of balancing to the weapon pool that needs to come into play.

But amid these cracks, the cheaters have crawled out, as Modern Warfare 3 is being plagued by hackers already.

Modern Warfare 3 Beta plagued by hackers already

The Modern Warfare 3 Beta was released to the public on Sunday, October 8, and just a handful of hours later, PlayStation's servers had been infiltrated by players using aimbot.

Clips have emerged of players locking on targets through walls and even dealing damage through multiple surfaces, indicating that aimbot and other cheating software were being used.

According to CharlieIntel, these hackers have purchased a PS4 Dev Kit which allows cheating software to be installed, which often costs north of $2,000 to buy.

Nonetheless, this dev kit trick appears to be the method behind the madness of Modern Warfare 3 hackers, and fans have found a few different instances of such cheating.

Modern Warfare 3 fans want last-gen consoles to be 'phased out' amid hacks

One of the biggest issues here, in the eyes of fans, is that Call of Duty is still playable - and optimised for - last-generation consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One, which is the gate that these hackers are being passed through.

"Reason #653 on why you should phase out old gen… security vulnerabilities," said popular content creator "ProReborn".

"Old gen should've been phased out years ago. Why do I need to suffer because poor boy can't afford the newest console after almost 3 damn years?" added another fan.

Of course, the biggest hacker problem lies with PC gaming, but we're never going to live in a world where crossplay is disabled.

For now though, make sure you're watching those suspicious killcams in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta, as there are some not-to-conspicuous cheaters lurking.
