Halo Infinite has been out for long enough now that the dedicated players among the Halo fanbase have finally cracked the campaign and are climbing the XP ladder in the game's multiplayer mode incredibly fast.
The title's momentum may have started waning, but that doesn't mean that players aren't still loving Halo Infinite - calling it a return to form for the franchise that has been long, long overdue.
So, now that players are used to the game, they're giving themselves some big challenges - and one has managed to beat the game without shooting a gun at all.
How Does A Player Beat Halo Infinite With No Guns?
One fan has pushed Halo Infinite's campaign to its very limited and has managed to beat the game without ever firing any of Master Chief's weapons.
YouTuber Simply & Slick has documented his long and difficult journey to beating the game without using any guns, and on the game's hardest difficulty, no less.
Though the challenge seems incredible on paper, it still begs the question - how exactly did Simply & Slick do it? Well, he put to use a lot of energy swords and gravity hammers, making good use of the grappleshot in order to stay agile and slip around enemies and get the drop on them.
Tom, the man behind the channel, claims that he died roughly 100 times during this incredibly difficult run, with 50 of those times being exclusive to the game's final boss.
What's Next For Simply & Slick?
This isn't the end for the brave speedrunner, though the challenge would be more than enough to wipe us out and turn us off of Halo Infinite for good.
Tom now claims that he'll be moving onto another challenge - he'll be attempting to beat the game using only the punch melee attack, with every single difficulty-modifying skull active. Blimey.
They're braver than us, not only for taking on this challenge, but for gearing up to take on another. We can barely beat the game on Heroic, so this is far more impressive than it has any right to be. Godspeed on your next challenge, Simply & Slick.

Playing Halo 2 in third-person makes it better than ever
When you think of Halo you most likely categorise it as a first-person shooter, which makes sense since that is exactly what it is. At least, it was until modders shone a whole new light on Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, allowing players to experience Halo in the third person.
