It seems that Arrowhead Games Studios' Helldivers 2 has its head screwed on the right way when it comes to cosmetics and microtransactions.

In a world where extra purchases feel more predatory than ever, Helldivers 2 offers players an avenue to pick up new armour and emotes that genuinely don't change the gameplay of merking bugs. It means that if players want to flex a new armour set, it's a simple show of flair.

Plus, as we can comfortably collect Super Credits, a dedicated Helldiver can work their way through the premium Warbonds without having to spend a penny. As the latest Warbond touches down, it's doing its own Star Wars crossover better than Fortnite right now...even without the license.

Helldivers 2 releases Star Wars-inspired Warbond

The latest Premium Warbond to hit Helldivers 2 is officially getting closer, as Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed just what's in store for players looking for new drip. Interestingly, it's going very Star Wars with its own take on the Snowtroopers.

The Polar Patriots Warbond comes with three complete armour sets that echo the suits and helmets of the Galactic Republic, boasting a frosty touch. Narrow visors meet bulky bodies, allowing you to build your own unlicensed Stormtrooper hellbent on democracy's victory.

The Warbond also comes with three new primary weapons, some new utilities, banners, capes, and a new ripper collection of emotes that features an air guitar that will sign off your wins in style.

It's a chilly little number that will be dropping on May 9, just in case Fortnite's May 4 celebrations aren't doing it for you. After all, we're sure that the Empire and the legions of Super Earth aren't so different in the long run. Live your bad guy dreams.
