There are still a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to Hogwarts Legacy. Though the game was meant to launch this year and stand head-to-head with the giants of Call of Duty and God of War: Ragnarok, its delay to early 2023 was a disappointment.
It's hard to call the Hogwarts Legacy delay a surprise - and fans still want more info on the Wizarding World's RPG adventure. Story is paramount to the experience of the game, though many players just want to fart around with their spells. At least it looks like, in terms of narrative, there's plenty to explore.
How Many Endings Does Hogwarts Legacy Have?
It looks as though the multiple moral avenues that Hogwarts Legacy offers its players will come with their own consequences, as the game will apparently offer multiple endings depending on the type of wizard you become.
Fans got a new peek behind the curtain at the game in a new 45-minute presentation that offered a great peek at the moving parts that make Hogwarts itself so magical in the game - but one comment from Game Director Alan Tew during the YouTube reveal hinted that player actions will have a massive impact on the way the game ends.
"Different interactions with different characters can also offer different choices with different choice points for the player, ad then some of those can affect things game-wide," says Tew. "Some of these affect characters' lives, the ending of the game."
What Is The Hogwarts Legacy Release Date?
This is certainly exciting news, and it's only made players want the game more. Coupling the long-mooted promise of an open-world Harry Potter game with the ability to use dark magic, you're onto a winner. It's just a shame you won't be able to play Quidditch. Although we've seen a big delay, it's not too long of a wait away.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to launch on February 10 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This dive into the Wizarding World is set to be a pretty big deal, and with the expanded Potterverse being such a massive property, there's every chance it could be an absolute banger of a game. With the dreams of wannabe witches and wizards being brought to life everywhere, we'll be taking the opportunity to be the evil Death Eater we always wanted to be.
