Home Alone: Siege Turns The Christmas Classic Into A Modern Shooter

Someone has recreated the magic of 1990's Home Alone as a first-person shooter with Kein McCallister taking on some crafty burglars.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals. With the holiday season upon us, it's time to eat our body weight in chocolate, sit by the fire, and play a good ol' fashioned first-person shooter.

While the genre is largely dominated by the Call of Duty and Halos of this world, one movie superfan has turned the Christmas classic of Home Alone into an FPS we'd all want to play.

What Is The Home Alone FPS?

Chris Columbus' 1990 movie is rightly held as one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. There was also the fan-favourite Lost in New York from 1992, and although the franchise took a major dive after that, the name Kevin McCallister still means a lot.

Now, artist Simon Brewer took to Twitter to show off the concept for Home Alone: Siege. Brewer is known as the UI Artist on Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight, so you know he will do a good job of it.

In this mythical Home Alone: Siege, we see the likeness of Macaulay Culkin's Kevin, sporting an arsenal of weapons - presumably ready to take on some burglars. Weapons include a BB shotgun, hot glue gun, and paint cans.

Although the movies made Kevin's traps look non-lethal, we know Harry and Marv would likely be long dead thanks to blunt force trauma, electrocution, and bone-shattering falls.

Fans Love The Home Alone FPS

The imagining is so good, it looks like an actual Call of Duty Christmas event. Given that we've had wild and weird crossovers ranging from the Terminator to King Kong, seeing a Christmas-themed offering with Kevin isn't that out there. Anyway, it can't be worse than Krampus

Either way, players love Home Alone: Siege, so it's a shame it isn't real. One cheered, "How come no one's made a Battle Royale game set in an absurdly large procedurally generated mansion? it's insane how good this is btw."

Another fan added, "I would play the hell out of this! Such a cool and charming idea," while a third said, "Reminds me of the Christmas section of Bully which was one of my favorite parts."

Asymmetric horror games are all the rage these days, and while the likes of Friday the 13th and Dead by Daylight have their legions of fans, we're asking, where are the asymmetric Christmas games?

Now, I'm gonna give you to the count of ten, to get your ugly, yella, no-good keister off my property, before I pump your guts full of lead!
