Aloy has a lot of new looks thanks to Horizon Forbidden West Face Paint. The game gives players plenty of ways to tailor their version of Aloy how they want. Face paints are a vibrant way to express yourself in Horizon Forbidden West, and there is one particular face paint scheme Playstation fans are going to want to get their hands on. Here is what you need to know about Horizon Forbidden West face paint, and how to unlock the God of War face paint.

Horizon Forbidden West Face Paint: How To Apply Face Paints
To apply any of Horizon Forbidden West face paints, players will need to make some progress through the game. Painters are NPCs that appear in settlements, but not in all of the settlements. The three places we have found painters is Sclading Spear, the Bulwark, and Thornmarsh. Head to any of these locations and seek out the Painter icon on the map.
Most face paint designs are unlocked through playing the main quest, as well as some side quests. They range from Nora and Carja designs to new ones from the Forbidden West tribes. Choose one and the Painter will apply it to you for ten shards.

Horizon Forbidden West Face Paint: How To Unlock God of War Face Paint
Among the Horizon Forbidden West face paint options, there is one particularly special one. This is the God of War face paint, the iconic look sported by the legendary Spartan Kratos. To unlock this face paint, you must track down three totems. Well, four, but as you will see two of them are inseparable.
- Tracking down all those Black Boxes? Here's some help, Horizon Forbidden West Black Boxes.
Totem of War
The first totem, the Totem of War, can be found in the mountains south of the Bulwark. On your map, look directly east from The Greenhouse until you a Sunwing Site in the cliffs. Just north of this marker, there is a house that looks like it belongs more in Skyrim than the Forbidden West. God of War fans will recognise this place, as it is very similar to Kratos’ home. Check in the log shed on the left side for a statuette of the Spartan himself.
- Want to upgrade your arsenal? Check out Horizon Forbidden West Legendary Weapons.
Totem of Youth
The second totem can be found north of old San Francisco. On the island where the city once was, head to the north-western tip. There is a Stormbird Site here, try to avoid those if possible. Just south and east of the Stormbird is an overpass over the old road. Here, on the destroyed sign facing the Golden Gate Bridge, is where you will find the Totem of Youth. I don’t think this one can read, though.

Totem of Brotherhood
The third and fourth totems can be found together, way back in the east. If you return to the place where Sylens first led you, at the end of his trail in the Latopolis facility, you will be close to the Totem of Brotherhood. South of Latopolis there is a small island on the lake. There is a Frost Glinthawk site here, so be prepared for those. The brothers Brok and Sindri can be found on the east side of the island, in a miniature cauldron.
Once all three are collected, the Mark of War face paint will unlock. Head to any of the Painters to apply it, and declare yourself the God of Post-Apocalypse War.
That is everything there is to know on Horizon Forbidden West Face Paint, and how to get the God of War easter egg face paint too.
