We've been waiting for GTA 6 news for some time, and it was safe to assume that we'd be waiting a whole lot longer.
The game feels far off on the horizon right now, as its development was only recently revealed and Rockstar Games seem obsessed with keeping up with GTA Online, to such a degree that you'd think they didn't have time for anything else.
Yet, it's on the way regardless, and we certainly weren't expecting any news for the rest of 2022.
But now, an industry-shaking leak has cropped up that reveals a remarkable sum of details about the game.
GTA 6 Footage Leak Has Revealed Character Names, Locations And More
Last night saw a massive leak break and spread across the internet, in a video that seems to show testing phases of GTA 6 as the game's player engages in combat, chats to NPCs and more.
The videos themselves haven't yet been attributed to a source (because the chances of them being hung, drawn and quartered by Rockstar Games is incredibly high), but they're swimming around on the internet regardless, and they're incredibly illuminating.
The footage has revealed that our main characters are named Lucia and Jason, and that the game does indeed take place in a new area of Vice City, as has been theorised for some time.
These leaks are truly colossal, and it's hard to gauge just how much impact they're going to have on Rockstar's gameplay, or if these videos are indications of exactly where the game is in development, but one thing's for sure - fans are going nuts.
Fans React To Massive GTA 6 Leaks
Fans are taking to Twitter to express their feverish excitement and shock in the face of these leaks - and it's clear that players weren't ready to see the game this early.
GTA 6 hype just hit the roof, and as fans are discerning all that they can from the footage we've got, they're growing more and more excited for the game by the day. It looks like GTA 6 is real. Really real. It's about time.
