HusKerrs Has Been Overtaken As Warzone’s Highest Earner
We're parachuting back into Call of Duty for a round of Warzone, as the battle royale bloodbath celebrates a year of success. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year since we first leapt off the Antonov An-124 and into the 150-player mayhem of the Modern Warfare spin-off. In that time, we've seen Warzone help contribute to Activision's massive $3 billion earnings in 2020, expand with the likes of Rebirth Island, and be integrated to Black Ops Cold War with the revamped Season Pass.
Alongside Warzone swelling ranks, we've seen the competitive scene boom alongside it. While the likes of Mason “Symfuhny” Lanier, Zack “ZLaner” Lane, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, and Aydan "Aydan" Conrad are held as the crème de la crème, Jordan "HusKerrs" Thomas is largely the best of the best. HusKerrs has raked in a small fortune during Warzone's brief tenure, but now, it turns out someone else has overtaken him as the game's highest earner.
Who overtook HusKerrs as Warzone's highest earner?
Last October, HusKerrs was the first pro-player to cross the milestone of $100K in Warzone earnings. For months, he sat pretty at the top with $103K, while Aydan trailed in second with $64K. Jump forward to March 2021, and Aydan has leapfrogged HusKerrs and is officially the highest-earning Warzone player. The gap between Aydan and the next highest earner was also huge, but as Conrad has continued to grind away at the comps, he's chipped away at HusKerrs' lead.
Securing a tasty $12K alongside Rhys "Rated" Price at the Mina Mendes 2v2 tournament means Aydan is the highest earner in Warzone. Although Aydan and Rated only secured second at the tournament, they didn't lose a match all day. As the final closed it, Aydan realised he was about to overtake HusKerrs. Speaking about his stream, the 21-year-old gushed, "Dude, I can’t believe we’re No. 1 earned. Holy s**t. Man, I didn’t think I’d ever be here to be honest, because HusKerrs was above me by f*****g a lot".
What's next for Warzone's highest earners?
Part of Aydan's success is the fact he's never been afraid to mix things up a bit. In the closely-fought world of Duos, he partnered with several big names in the past year. After trying his luck with Zlaner and Charlie "MuTeX" Saouma, he settled on Rated and climbed even further up the rankings. With Duos offering equal lobbies, it's become the go-to for many in the pro circuit. Aydan and Rated have been largely untouched as they have coined some serious dollar in the revamped Cold War Season 2.
Aydan's stream has become a giant in the ratings, with the young player thanking his fans for their continued support. Looking at the bigger picture, Rated is also inching closer to HusKerrs, which would knock the former winner into third. Ultimately it's getting tight near the top, and we're expecting the ranking to change again in the near future. For the time being, Aydan can lord it over the rest and sleep soundly on a pillow of money, knowing he's Warzone's highest earner in 2021 - for now!
