ImperialHal argues Bangalore Digi meta is 'worst' in Apex Legends history

Philip 'ImperialHal' Dosen has slammed the Bangalore Digital Threat meta as the 'worst' in Apex Legends history.

The days of Seer dominating the Apex Legends meta may be ancient history to many fans by now, but there will always be another powerful character to take over the top spot.

In Season 18, Bangalore has snatched the crown, with the Professional Solider's pick rate skyrocketing over the course of Ressurection.

Bang's rise to the top of the meta isn't down to her overloaded kit, it's because of the Digital Threat optic and her access to smokes. As a result, Bangalore can one-way beam enemies in a lot of gunfights, making her a menace in close-range skirmishes.

For Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen, this new meta that involves putting down smokes and using Digi Threats is becoming unbearable.

ImperialHal hates the Bangalore Digi meta in Apex Legends

Taking to Twitter on October 14, TSM's very own ImperialHal declared that the "Bang Digi meta is the worst meta in Apex Legends so far no debate."

Other pros chimed in to agree, with Hal's teammate Jordan "Reps" Wolfe claiming they'd "rather have Seer back than this s**t, at least everyone knows where everyone's at."

It's not just the top-tier players as well, some viewers and general Apex fans just don't enjoy seeing so many Bangalore smokes on screen all the time.

"Looks awful to play as a viewer it is even worse, every fight is just 4 Bang smokes and just running around viewers can't see any of the action."

How to nerf Bangalore Digi meta in Apex Legends

Bangalore Apex Legends

So, how can Respawn fix this issue but not completely ruin Bangalore's kit? Well, for a lot of Apex players, the Digital Threat optic is the issue, not the Professional Solider's smokes.

As a result, some of the community have suggested removing the scope from Ranked and competitive play. Another solution is to take the Digi Threat out of the crafter and make it strictly a ground item.

This would decrease the amount of the optics on the map and make it significantly harder for so many players to get hold of them.

With Season 19 on the horizon, it'll be interesting to see whether the devs take aim at the Digi, Bangalore, or just sidestep the issue completely.
