Conduit was added to Apex Legends in Season 19, and since then, the Shield Healer has firmly established herself as a meta pick.

Her ability to grant teammates temporary shields makes her brilliant during gunfights and allows her to help an ally whose potentially taken a poor trade with an enemy.

Not only that, the disruption from Ultimate slows down aggressive pushes from enemies, meaning she's always an asset in the final circle. As you can see, her kit is undeniably strong - but that doesn't mean everyone is a fan of her design.

In fact, TSM's Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen has made it clear that he hates Conduit's abilities and believes she "favours noobs."

ImperialHal thinks Conduit "favours noobs" in Apex Legends

For Hal, the biggest issue with Conduit in Apex Legends is that she rectifies the mistakes of her allies too easily. He believes she shouldn't just be able to fully regenerate a teammate's health after a poor trade.

"I don't want characters that favour noobs to be put into the game... I hate when they put in characters that are literally made for bad players, like Conduit."

In his opinion, this takes the skill out of gunfights and means players are not rewarded for their weapon accuracy. With the single click of a button, an ally can be back up to full shields, and the bad decision they made had zero consequences.

"I f**ked up a peak or got out aimed, I'm just gonna heal you back up to full health because I made a mistake."

How popular is Conduit in Apex Legends?

Conduit Apex

Currently, in Season 19 Conduit has a 7.6% pick rate, which puts her in fourth in the rankings behind Wraith, Pathfinder, and Octane. Given all of those Legends are very solo-carry orientated and provide very little team assistance, Conduit's popularity is even more impressive given she's a support.

While Hal isn't a fan of her design, the community clearly loves her, but if her prominence in the meta continues to rise, a nerf could be on the horizon.
