All good things must come to an end, right?

We'll always remember the early days of dropping in Skulltown with a trio of Bloodhound Lifeline and Pathfinder in Season 1 and all the precious memories that have come in the last six years.

But, it might be time to accept that Apex Legends is dying, as even the greatest player of all time has taken that stance.

Apex Legends is 'dying' according to ImperialHal

Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen, a multi-time ALGS Playoffs winner and current reigning world champion, has finally fallen on Ash's sword and admitted that Apex Legends is "dying".

The battle royale has faced a lot of criticism as of late, with the Steam player count being at its lowest point in over three years, indicative of the drop-off in content and maybe exhaustion of ideas. The nail in the coffin might have been the recent announcement of a cash-grab Battle Pass Premium+ tier, which has turned away even the most devoted fans who have been riding the concurrent wave of rollover coins.

Although he's often been critical of the game, Hal has now come to the realisation that the life support machine has been switched on for Apex Legends.

"Apex is dying...... sucks to say," he said on X (formerly Twitter).

This came just after he joined in with the new Overwatch 2 season as a partner, enjoying the Transformers collaboration, despite the game's own meta issues.

ImperialHal commits to Apex Legends despite it dying

Even with the grim reaper leering over the Outlands, ImperialHal has doubled down on his commitment to the game, reiterating that if this is the last stretch, he'll be there until the end.

"I’m going down with the ship as the CEO," he said, after being questioned on a Warzone switch.

Hal recently claimed that one of the major flaws that Apex Legends faces at the moment is "boring ass" characters, as all legends have been nerfed to an equally mediocre level, taking away the ingenuity and creativity that made the game so fun to begin with.

It might be all doom and gloom at the moment for Apex Legends, but maybe some fun and broken legends might be the ticket to the revive booth.
