As a regular complaint from PlayStation fans, Xbox's first-party catalogue has been looking quiet for a while. Now that Starfield has been and gone in a much quicker turnaround than hoped, it's easy to feel that Xbox fans have, well, not a lot to look forward to.
But, though the console war rages on over on Twitter, Xbox owners are getting excited, as a Developer Direct presentation is yet to come from the teams in the console's family in the next week. While the content remains a mystery, leaks suggest we're in for a big surprise.
The Indiana Jones game's title has leaked
There's still plenty of news regarding Bethesda's Indiana Jones game yet to appear in the upcoming Developer Direct showcase, but it seems that some news has already broken against the team's will. Apparently, MachineGames was just too thorough in covering all of its online bases - meaning it's been caught out.
Twitter user Kurakasis has noticed that MachineGames has purchased a huge swathe of domains and is simply waiting in dormancy for the full reveal of the game. They reveal that the upcoming Indy adventure is seemingly titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
We know for certain that this would be the title for a game and not another movie, as the indianajonesandthegreatcirclegame.com has been purchased along with a tonne of other domains.
It seems the Indiana Jones game is following the naming conventions of the movies, and it makes for a charming image of a classic Indy adventure. Xbox fans may have been concerned that they'd have nothing to look forward to, but at least we've got one game on the way that's shaping up to be a Bethesda banger.
When is Xbox's Developer Direct presentation?
The next showcase from Xbox is expected to shed some light on the Indiana Jones project and more, slated for Thursday, January 18 (that's next week) at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm GMT.
There's a recent run of announcements, and while it was only just revealed, we'd love to hear more about Arkane Lyon's Blade game. We don't know what lies in store for us in the wider conference, but at least we have some inkling about the upcoming Indy adventure. Get those big hats on, globetrotters, we're going looking for artefacts.
