We're expecting Insomniac Games to go full berserker, as a fresh round of leaks has shown off new gameplay from its upcoming Wolverine game. The acclaimed developer behind Ratchet & Clank and the two Spider-Man games is a studio on the rise, but unfortunately, it seems it can't keep a lid on its plans.

As one of the most devastating gaming leaks in recent memory, Insomniac was rocked by a deadly ransomware attack in December 2023. Giving potential release dates for the likes of Wolverine, the breach also teased a Venom spin-off and supersized X-Men game. Now, we've got another peek at Wolverine's supposed gameplay.

Wolverine leaks show off new gameplay

We previously saw some character model leaks and early gameplay, showing off Logan's unique abilities and a game that's much more brutal than Spider-Man. Given Wolverine's violent nature, what did you expect? Now, the GamingLeaksandRumours subreddit has given us a better look at the clawed Canadian in action.

Looking like an evolution of the traversal we saw in the Spider-Man games, Wolverine is obviously less vertical than our wall-crawling adventure. The action largely takes place in a bar, with Wolverine taking on a gang of grunts. We see his claws in full flow, as well as his healing ability.

There's a mini-boss battle with Wolverine taking on a Flying Sentry Reaver, and the 11-minute video shows off a variety of enemy types. While it's always possible these leaks could be fake, the similarities between this and those earlier leaks definitely suggest this is the real deal. If not, Insomniac should hire whoever made it.

Poor Insomniac

While we're admittedly stoked to see more of Wolverine after a lack of official updates, it's a shame that it keeps being leaked in this way. Others were sympathetic to Insomniac, saying they'd rather get an official gameplay trailer instead of some janky leaks.

One fan said, "This has to be the most leaked game of all time," while another added, "Only imagine how good this will look when Insomniac's done." Not everyone was sold, as someone concluded, "I wish I could get more excited for it, but I just can’t. Everything I’ve seen just makes it look like Spider-Man with a Wolverine skin, this traversal looks like worse Spider-Man traversal."

Like the recent supposed leaks for Monolith's Wonder Woman game, here's hoping the latest deluge of spoilers spurs Insomniac to give us something, anything, for Wolverine. Given the hype of Hugh Jackman's return to the role for Deadpool & Wolverine, we're at peak Wolvie hype right now.
