In the current Warzone 2 meta, the majority of players are using the ISO Hemlock as their default assault rifle choice. According to WZRanked, the gun has an astounding 19.2% pick rate and is completely dominating in terms of popularity.
Despite this, there are a number of other strong long-range meta ARs that are going under the radar and deserve more attention. Hoping to them into the spotlight, WZ2 expert James "JGOD" Godoy has highlighted a loadout for a deadly AR, boasting a strong TTK and impressive stability to be top-tier from afar.
Powerful Lachmann 556 long-range Warzone 2 loadout
In terms of pick rate, the Lachmann 556 is sitting at a solid 6.8% after huge buffs in Season 3 Reloaded. Significant increases to the gun's damage and range have made it a true contender in the new meta, especially with the build below:

In JGOD's opinion, while the ISO Hemlock is an undeniably strong pick, he thinks it's worth testing out the Lachmann 556 for the 'bigger magm,' as it means you can dish more damage before you have to reload.
This is a huge deal when taking on bigger squads, as being able to take down multiple opponents without reloading can be a difference-maker during an intense skirmish.
As expected, the loadout above is all about pushing the Lachmann 556's damage and bullet velocity to the limit, making it a force to be reckoned with at long range in Warzone 2.
Keep in mind, while optics all come down to preference, the AIM OP-V4 is a brilliant choice for locking onto foes from a distance.
Best Lachmann 556 secondary in Warzone 2
When it comes to your secondary, nerfs to the FTAC Siege and GS Magna mean it's key you run Overkill. This means you can gain access to a second primary and therefore, a meta SMG.
We recommend you run either the Lachmann Sub or the Vaznev-9k, both are lethal options in Season 3 Reloaded. So, there you have it, consider dropping the ISO Hemlock for a few games and give the Lachmann 556 a go, it could be your new default AR.
