Kevin Conroy Confirms Whether New Arkham Game Is Coming
Rocksteady's Arkham Trilogy represent some of the best superhero games of all time, and while we've heard rumours of a fourth game, Kevin Conroy has the answer.

Rocksteady Games
The Bat-Signal is burning bright over Gotham City, with two major Batman spin-offs currently in the works at Warner Bros. Montreal and Rocksteady Games. While Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has reportedly been pushed to 2023, at least we can gather the Bat-Family for Gotham Knights in 2022.
Back in the day, Rocksteady was known as the keeper of the keys to Gotham, and with great success, the three Arkham games are considered some of the best superhero outings ever to be made. Although the story looks like it finished with 2015's Arkham Knight, could a quadrilogy be on the horizon?
Is There Another Arkham Game On The Way?
It's over to Batman himself, as Kevin Conroy debunks all those rumours that an Arkham Knight sequel could continue the saga. Speaking to The Movie Dweeb, the long-running Batman voice actor confirmed a fourth game has been confined to its very own Arkham Asylum.
"I wish there was, I really do. Because people ask all the time," said the star. Explaining why there's no No. 4, he added: "You have to understand how expensive they are to build. They cost a fortune. They take years. Arkham Knight took two years to put together, and it was a huge secret, no-one could know about it." Hitting Warner Bros. in the pocket, Conroy concluded that expense is "the only reason I think they haven't done another one."
The legacy of the Arkham games lives on in a fashion. After developing the Arkham Origins spin-off, Warner Bros. Montreal is working on Gotham Knights as something of a spiritual successor to the Arkham trilogy. Although considered a black sheep of the family, Origins is part of the Arkhamverse. Whereas - despite feeling like a post-Arkham Knight game in the aftermath of Batman's death - Gotham Knights is in a whole new continuity.
Will Kill The Justice League Get A Sequel
While Conroy has dashed our hopes for now, never say never. Rocksteady is still tied to the massive lore of DC comics, and if Kill the Justice League is as much of a hit as the Arkham games, we could loop back to Batman for a potential sequel. If not, let's remember those long-running rumours of a Superman game from the studio.
Sadly, it seems that if Rockstead had plans for another game or a possible Batman Beyond continuation, they've been lost to the ages - giving us the much brighter Kill the Justice League. With Batman supposedly dead in both Gotham Knights and Kill the Justice League, Conroy won't be lending his vocals to either. By the sounds of it though, the fan-favourite voice actor is ready to pick up the bat phone if Rocksteady ever came calling for the Caped Crusader again.
