It's easy to forget that Modern Warfare 3 has one of the largest portfolios of Operator skins that any game has ever had upon launch, especially given that the entire catalogue from MW2 has been transferred over.

Yet there are still many more creative designs to be added, as crossovers continue to be churned out by Activision, and Ranked is on the way to offer out some just rewards for those who like the grind. But ahead of Ranked's release, the Operator skin rewards have been leaked, and they're not to everyone's liking.

Modern Warfare 3 Ranked rewards leaked

Akin to last year, Modern Warfare 3 appears to have a fully-functioning Ranked ladder on its way in Season 1 Reloaded, where CDL Team Skins will launch, and players can really sweat it out to get their hands on end-of-season rewards.

Said rewards now appear to be following the same pattern as last year, too, giving out Operator skins reflective of your skill division. Leaker "crashfty" has shared all eight respective Ranked rewards designs.

While the basic CDL skins have been recently praised, these designs have not, as the leaked skins are lit up with bright-white knee pads and a pretty basic ski outfit up until ranks like Iridescent, where the glowing purple then takes over most of the outfit.

Nadeshot slams leaked MW3 Ranked reward skins

Just a few hours after being cast into the public domain through Twitter, the leaked designs are already being slammed by iconic figures such as Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag. "I wouldn’t wear this operator skin if they gave it to us for free," Nadeshot tweeted.

"The rational part of my brain is thinking we should be grateful for Ranked Operator skins but the customization fiend in me wants to condemn these operators to hell. Tough call but I think I’m gonna just keep complaining," he continued.

Nade continued to point out that CoD games gone by have offered much better rewards, highlighting the Advanced Warfare designs, which became increasingly cool.

Still, there is an element of, "ah well," given we can wear the MW2 rewards instead. For many, this is unfortunately a mere swing and miss.
