Zack "Asmongold" used to be obsessed over Lost Ark. However, various issues with the game have left the MMO fanatic to openly criticise the title on numerous occasions, particularly over its pay-to-win mechanics. Now, Lost Ark's devs have responded to the criticism.
Once upon a time, streamer Asmongold proudly announced that he was returning to his main Twitch channel for his first playthrough of the highly-anticipated South Korean fantasy MMO Lost Ark. As content creators across the community flocked to jump on the Lost Ark hype, Asmongold's streams proved particularly popular given his experience as a pro MMO player. Although he was a little put off by the game's completion time, on the whole, he was in love with Lost Ark and sang its praises at every opportunity.
However, in recent times, Asmongold has come across various issues with Lost Ark which have caused him to fall out of love with the MMO. So much so, that he issued a warning to Amazon and Smilegate to make significant changes or risk his wrath.

What Problems Has Asmongold Experience In Lost Ark?
As Elden Ring continued to dominate the internet, Asmongold slowly fell out love with Lost Ark as the hype for the game died down. In a YouTube video uploaded on March 15, Asmongold claimed he had been particularly disappointed by the game's pay-to-win mechanics. This was problematic following its Argos Abyssal Raid and the fact that players were effectively blocked from accessing a wide variety of end game content without ponying up the cash.
In the video, the WoW player begged: "I hope that Amazon can get this message before the game attracts an even worse reputation. I think that every day this is an issue it will be bleeding players, bleeding respect, bleeding integrity, and the faster they stem that bleeding and start healing that wound, we can have a better game."
Then, during his stream on March 16, Asmongold had clearly reached the end of his tether sending a stark warning over to Lost Ark's developers to do something to fix the game and fast. "Amazon. Smilegate. In ten days, if we don't have any roadmap or we don't have any sort of idea of where the game is going, I will do a swiping stream, and will show everybody how f*cking pay-to-win doing your content is right now. Ten days and I will show everyone what's wrong with it."
Lost Ark Responds To Asmongold's Pay-To-Win Warnings
Given how much Asmongold has been playing during his streams as well as his influence over the Lost Ark community, it's no surprise that the game's developers were quick to respond to his warnings. In a blog post, the Lost Ark devs stated: "We made a mistake releasing the March game update too quickly after launch. Data we analysed alongside Smilegate RPG from their previous launches projected that a larger portion of players would have reached the level required to challenge Argos. However, we overlooked certain variables, such as players spending more time on horizontal content and the price of honing materials increasing due to bots and real-money transactions."
The developer promptly apologised for any confusion and appreciated the feedback from fans. In the lengthy statement, Amazon and Smilegate explained there would be an upcoming update which will see various changes, including with Grand Prix honing and PvP rewards.
Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before a familiar face had something to about the news. Responding to the announcement which detailed a wealth of upcoming changes to Lost Ark, Asmongold simply said: "Good."
