Cut from a similar cloth to Pretty Little Liars, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will see the past catch up to a group of used-to-be best friends who are pushed to reunite after 27 years of no contact amid a life-changing event.

First announced by Don't Nod at the 2023 Game Awards, the title has been in steady development for next-gen consoles and has garnered considerable interest due to its promises of a fun and intriguing storyline.

Ahead of its release in 2025, Don't Nod has now revealed its First Look Trailer, which dives into the gameplay and begins spinning the deep and interconnected story of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage gameplay revealed at Gamescom

As seen at Gamescom's Open Night Live showcase, the First Look Trailer for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage has revealed what Don't Nod has to offer next. This included a peek at the first half of the storyline and its unique dynamic dialogue system.

The trailer shows how the navigation between the dual timelines of 1995 and 2022 work, using Swann's camcorder as a tool to flick between each era as you write history and watch it unfold in the modern day.

As adults, and with clear tension in the air, the dialogue system gets typically catty. Players can completely ghost certain characters, interrupt others, or be keen to hang on to every little detail that the rest of the group has to offer.

The dialogue choices will directly impact how your story unfolds, as Don't Nod promises a truly immersive experience that connects you to the protagonist Swann and the gang of ex-girl pals. The trailer appears to mainly showcase the first part of the story, which will be released on February 18, 2025. The second half will be released a month later, on March 18.

Don't Nod has previously claimed that the story being split into two parts is so that fans can take a Game of Thrones-esque approach to reacting. This break between parts allows theories and conspiracies to stir. Either way, we're excited to see what the Life Is Strange team has been cooking up.
