Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren has launched a competitive Fortnite tournament, partnering up with Epic Games itself to offer players the chance to win $100k.

Fortnite has enjoyed a massive resurgence in recent times with a wave of players both old and new heading back to the game for some battle royale goodness. For many, it was due to the game's Chapter 3 Season 2 update, which threw players in at the deep end with 'no build mode.' It was a controversial change at first, but 'no build mode' soon became a sensation with streamers, such as Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar, preaching their love for the update. Even Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV changed his mind about the game following the change.

Now, Ludwig is calling on all players across the world to take part in a competitive Fortnite tournament with a whopping cash prize up for grabs.

When Did Ludwig Announce His Fortnite Tournament?

During his stream on April 11, Ludwig officially announced that he was teaming up with Fortnite developer, Epic Games, to host a tournament that would encourage players from around the world to compete for a share of $100k. The YouTuber then took to Twitter to spread the word saying that the tournament has been named 'Ludwig Mondays'.

The announcement comes after Ludwig hosted a previous Fortnite tournament in which he pitted some of the world's biggest streamers against each other. Some of the big names who battled it out during the match, included Imane "Pokimane" Anys, Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek, and Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter. However, it was Felix "xQc" Lengyel and his team who were victorious.

Who Can Take Part In Ludwig's Next Fortnite Event?

In his tweet, Ludwig announced that the next 'Ludwig Mondays' will be open for "small" content creators who average less than 1,000 views per stream. This means that no Fortnite "pros" will be able to take part. Ludwig didn't specifically state when the event will take place, but it's safe to assume it will be April 18. Viewers can check out the tournament on the day over on Ludwig's official YouTube channel, but participants can steam their own VODs of the tournament on any streaming platform.

Ludwig may not be the most well-renowned Fortnite streamer, but his recent announcement has proven that he knows exactly what to include in his content to keep his fans happy. Not only that, but this is just another example of how his continuous efforts to showcase up-and-coming content creators while demonstrating his appreciation for his fans.
