Ludwig Slates 'Disgusting' Nando's After Trying It For The First Time
YouTuber Ludwig had his first-ever taste of the "most popular British fast food" and sadly walked away disappointed.

YouTuber Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren treated himself to a Nando's takeaway for the first time ever during his visit to the UK. But, the YouTuber claimed it was more "disgusting" than cheeky.
After building a reputation as the streamer with the most subscriptions on Twitch, Ludwig's now doing very well at YouTube. Not only did he organise a hugely successful Super Smash Bros. Melee Championship Series tournament, but he is also up for Streamer Of The Year for The Streamer Awards 2022.
So, it's clear to see that when it comes to making fun content, Ludwig knows his stuff. But when it comes to great rating casual dining - not so much.
The 26-year-old had his very first Nando's experience during a visit to the UK. Yet, Ludwig claimed that Britain's "most popular fast-food chain" was actually "disgusting."
What Did Ludwig Say About Nando's?
On February 24, Ludwig posted a YouTube video called 'I Tried the Most Popular British Fast Food… it was horrible'. The clip showed the American content creator surrounded by boxes full of Nando's food while seemingly on a visit to the UK. While the South African chain is especially popular in the UK and Australia, it's quite rare to find a Nando's over in the US. So, finally being in a country filled to the brim with its restaurants, Ludwig decided to indulge in a proud British tradition and have a cheeky Nando's. However, he wasn't all that impressed.
Although he enjoyed his peri peri nuts as a starter, Ludwig and his partner were confused over the fact they'd be given "chewy cheese in a box," which British viewers pointed out was halloumi fries. The pair also claimed the classic butterfly chicken was "dry." They also claimed that a number of the casual dining chain's spiciest dishes were fairly "mild".
However, calling Nando's "disgusting" seemed a little unfair to some fans given how there were a number of dishes that the pair enjoyed. Ludwig in particular very much enjoyed the peri peri fries, the extra hot chicken thigh pitta bread, and the chicken wings. In fact, his overall conclusion was that the food was actually "decent."

Ludwig Tries Nando's: Fans React
Whether or not Nando's is officially Britain's most popular fast food is debatable, but one thing is for sure is that it holds a special place in many a UK resident's hearts. So, it was no surprise that people had some things to say about Ludwig's review. A number of viewers claimed that the YouTuber should have eaten in the restaurant rather than ordered a takeaway. Also, following Ludwig's comments that Nando's "doesn't do dessert," one fan responded: "The dessert is actually good tho! The chocolate cake, the cheesecake, the brownie and the nata are really good."
So, it doesn't look like Ludwig will be getting another Nando's any time soon. Although, is there any chance this will stop the whole of the UK rushing to Nando's for a spicy treat? Absolutely not.
