It's about time that we had some sort of mix-up in the gun meta for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
More specifically for the battle royale, which has been blasted as "stale" and "boring" with the RPK and Fennec reigning supreme for over 15 weeks since it was released.
But over in the multiplayer side of things, the Lachmann Sub (MP5) has been slightly out of poll position in the SMG game, losing out to the Vaznev. So it came as quite a welcome addition to seeing some buffs appear in the MW2 Season 2 Reloaded patch notes... until we realised the attachments don't exist.
Lachmann Sub (MP5) 'buffed' in Season 2 Reloaded
Infinity Ward took to its usual blog post to begin listing many of the changes to weapons in Season 2 Reloaded, one of which was the MP5.
Despite reducing the movement speed and ADS time, slightly, the Lachmann Sub did receive a significant recoil control buff. But, one extra buff came to the Lachmann sub in the shape of the LM Nebula Barrel, although it doesn't actually exist.
The buffs entail an improved damage range and recoil control, but you can't actually equip the barrel. It's unclear how Infinity Ward can make such an obvious blunder, but to be honest, we've come to expect it.
Infinity Ward buff MW2 attachment that doesn't exist
There are currently three barrels available for the Lachmann Sub: the FTAC M-Sub 12", the Lachmann Pulsar, and the L38 Falcon 226mm, meaning the recently-buffed Nebula has been removed. This goes for MW2, Ranked, and Warzone 2.
Players not only can't get the buffed attachment, but they noticed that it was removed quite some time ago, having once been a popular choice in the Beta.
The barrel is supposed to be an integrated suppressor too, which would have proved quite popular, should it have existed...
