The April 9 patch for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone was a highly-anticipated update for fans, as there was an expectation that the Renetti was going to get nerfed for BR.
This didn't happen, and while the devs have now assured players that the hammer will come down on the Pistol in the near future, it's still left fans massively disappointed.
If that wasn't enough, the patch also seems to have completely broken both games for a lot of the community, making them borderline "unplayable."
Constant "lag spikes" and disconnects are leading to widespread frustration, with some competitors unable to finish a single match without problems.
Warzone's latest patch is causing "constant lag spikes" & fans are not happy
Taking to the ModernWarfareIII subreddit, user TonyRapt decided to showcase the negative impact that the April 9 patch has had on the game.
Following the update, matches have been plagued with constant lag spikes and disconnects. If that wasn't enough, players were simply unable to call in Killstreaks with a massive delay.
"Constant lag spikes, game freezing in the menus, can't call in killstreaks normally, can't modify classes during matches - so many issues with the new season," said one user, with another claiming, "Today's update messed things up... This is a really bad first week in season 3 probably the worst since launch."
As you would expect, players are furious with the current situation, especially given the fact that Activision is trying to sell $80 cosmetics in the store but can't roll out a stable patch.
CoD devs rollout fix for Killstreak but nothing for lag spikes
Shortly after the update, the devs took to X to announce that the Killstreak issue for controller users had been addressed.
However, the disconnect errors and lag spikes are still ruining the gameplay experience for a lot of fans, and so far, there's no fix in sight.
Let's hope this gets repaired very soon, as at the moment, the fanbase aren't enjoying their matches while it's in this "unplayable" state.
