The Modern Warfare 3 Beta is already giving us a taste of what this year's Call of Duty has to come, with the playtest offering out a slice of the nostalgic map pool and serving it on a dish of smooth movement and a side of swift gunplay.

And, already Sledgehammer Games is showing why they are the most responsive and in-tune developers that CoD has, instantly fixing its biggest problems, and nerfing perks at the request of the community.

So with one more weekend set to come before Sledgehammer runs the game under its microscope, the devs have revealed that the slice of pie that will be feeding hungry MW3 fans is getting bigger.

Modern Warfare 3 to add Search and Destroy and Cutthroat modes to final Beta weekend

With crossplay to be added, opening the Modern Warfare 3 doors to Xbox and PC players, there will be two more game modes to join the three already available.

Search and Destroy, the classic round-based single-elimination game mode will be the first of those added.

While Cutthroat, a new 3v3v3 game mode will be introduced for the first time in the series, which will be quite the medley of madness on maps such as Rust.

This leaves the game mode pool at: Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Cutthroat, and Search and Destroy; all of the fan favourites.

Modern Warfare 3 Beta Week 2 set to bring more action for crossplay fans

These modes won't be the only changes to the Modern Warfare 3 Beta either.

Sledgehammer Games has also revealed a bunch of balances to visibility, spawns, and sliding will all come into play in week two.

Players will also get to feast on Highrise for the first time in over a decade too.

It's yet to be seen if skill-based matchmaking will get a tweak, with streamers claiming that it's "insufferable". We'll take any steps in the right direction though.
