As we meander through spooky season, dodging those jumpscares in every other loot box with well-timed blinks, the end of the jack-o-lantern season is nearly upon us.

So when the blue flames of Jack's luminescent face are extinguished by the snow of winter, it's time for some new lights to begin showing us the way.

Instead of blue-flamed pumpkins, it looks like tree lights and golden bells will be on their way to Modern Warfare 3 just after its launch.

Modern Warfare 3 leaks point towards another Christmas celebration

Soon, the snowflakes of December will be falling on our nosetips, crunching beneath our feet, and melting on top of our hot chocolates, as Halloween passes and the holiday season arrives.

With that, leaks are now suggesting that we will have a series of winter parties in Modern Warfare 3 which will have players earning rewards in a similar fashion to The Haunting.

The leaks, via "MWIIIntel", do suggest that the events will be "holiday" themed rather than just Christmas, insinuating other religious holidays such as Hanukkah could also be celebrated, and a New Year's party will end the egg-nog-filled blowouts.

Leakers claim an 'Undead Santa' bundle is coming to MW3

Although the leak suggests that Christmas won't be the only holiday to have themed rewards, the same account also claims that an "undead Santa" bundle is coming to the store, combining the present-offering season with Modern Warfare 3's newfound obsession with Zombies.

With hope though, this won't serve as a catalyst for that bloody Krampus character to find his way back in Call of Duty.

But, it seems like Saint Nick is getting his groove on in CoD once again, and Microsoft has some rather tasty gifts in its sack this year.
