It looks like we're in for quite the treat in Modern Warfare 3 this year, as Sledgehammer Games is pulling out all of the stops to bring back the golden era of Call of Duty.

After already revealing the re-addition of classic minimaps and red dots to Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games is now apparently preparing more core multiplayer upgrades.

According to leaks, features such as health increases (150hp) and map voting are both coming back in Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 set to have health increase to 150hp

Leaker "Bob" - who has recently revealed quite a few details on Modern Warfare 3 - has now claimed that Modern Warfare 3 will be upping the health count from 100 to 150 in multiplayer. This will likely see a well-needed increase in time-to-kill rates.

Interestingly, 150 health points are something that has previously only been deployed in Black Ops games, with both of the jet pack titles having the increased health buff alongside stim sticks.

We already know that a bunch of studios are helping with Modern Warfare 3, which could be why the Black Ops influence is coming through from Treyarch, should the leaks be believed.

Modern Warfare 2 leaked to reintroduce map voting

Bob also claimed that the popular feature of map voting is coming back too, which sees players have the opportunity to choose between two of the multiplayer maps in the pre-game lobby. It allows you to skip the rubbish ones.

Again, this feature was last seen in Black Ops Cold War and WWII before that, indicating yet another shift away from the Infinity Ward influence and more towards that of Treyarch.

Sledgehammer Games has been praised heavily ahead of the worldwide removal of Modern Warfare 3 on August 17, and if the team keeps it up, we could have an all-time classic on our hands.
