We're officially there. We've reached the point in the Call of Duty annual cycle where all f**ks given are thrown out of the developer studios' window.

Having served us with a rather solid multiplayer instalment, populated with the densest live-service model that we've had yet, it looks like the bonus content really doesn't care about who it upsets.

Completely breaking any strings of realism, Modern Warfare 3 looks to be pivoting from its recent Advanced Warfare fascination all the way back to WWII, as Vanguard weapons appear to be on the way.

Hot off the back of the Season 3 Reloaded update, in typical Call of Duty fashion, leaks have begun to appear, revealing what Season 4 may have in store.

Having already aired that Black Ops features are coming for the pre-order bonuses and rewards for the in-game reveal participation, leakers are now claiming that Vanguard's weapon arsenal will land later this month.

The weapons listed include the Kar98K and the STG44, both of which are familiar to the Call of Duty series, but would likely be very popular choices for players in both MW3 and Warzone.

The Vanguard duo is also joined by the Spas-12, which is also reportedly coming and will complement the new Model 12 aftermarket part.

Modern Warfare 3 can't decide what decade to be in

These leaks come just a day after Sledgehammer Games added more Advanced Warfare content with the futuristic BAL-27.

The BAL was also paired with an "AW" optic sight, akin to that of the Glassless JAK red dot, which is literally from the future.

So, are we in 2063, or 120 years in the past? Or is it simply zero f**ks given and just a medley celebration of CoD?

Sorry, there has been an issue in subscribing to the newsletter.

It seems to be just a bit of fun and games, and I look forward to taking on gunfights between the STG44 and BAL-27.
