Although Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 is on the horizon, details are thin on the ground at the moment, the excitement is definitely building.

As you would expect, leaks are starting to emerge for the upcoming patch as dataminers trawl through all the files in search of clues.

An interesting discovery has been made that's linked to the MW3 Season 1 Battle Pass and the cosmetics you can expect it to include.

Leaks currently indicate that a villain from the Modern Warfare 3 campaign will be the Operator in the rewards track, and it's Makarov's right-hand man.

MW3 villain Nolan leaked as Season 1 Battle Pass Operator

As showcased by the popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL, dataminer TaskForceLeak5 has discovered that Nolan will be the Season 1 Battle Pass Operator. For those who haven't played the campaign, Nolan is Makarov's right-hand man and is the secondary villain during the narrative.

Assisting Makarov in his plans, Nolan's role in the story ends in the tenth mission in MW3 called Highrise. During the sequence, Captain Price and Gaz infiltrate a Konni Group safehouse in Saint Petersburg. Capturing Nolan for questioning, the villain spits in the face of Gaz before being knocked out with a heavy right hook.

While it makes sense for Nolan to be the Season 1 Battle Pass Operator, his presence in the story was relatively underwhelming, so not everyone is happy with Sledgehammer's choice.

MW3 fans slam Nolan as a 'waste' of an Operator

Nolan MW3

Modern Warfare 3's campaign received heavy backlash from fans, and that's probably why so many players are not impressed with the news Nolan could be the headline feature of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

"I love how he was an important part of the plot and when we captured him it led to absolutely nothing and we didn’t even see him for the rest of the game," said one user, with another arguing, "Ain’t no one using this operator."

At the very least, Makarov's right-hand man has a blacked-out Konni group outfit in the Highrise mission that could be great for the Mil-Sim fans. We'll just have to wait and see what other unlocks Sledgehammer's first Battle Pass includes, as Nolan is unlikely to carry the sales.
