Sledgehammer Games' live-service model for Modern Warfare 3 is being widely praised as the best that we've ever had, as the developers finally seem to be favouring multiplayer content once again months after the release of the title.
The developers have also been hailed for the original map designs that have been released, with Rio, Departures, Vista, Meat, and more all being favourable maps that are blowing the old nostalgic ones out of the water.
But fragments of those are cannonballing into different pools of water, in the case of the 6 Star anyway.
However, this could soon be changing...
Modern Warfare 3 leaks claim 6 Star is getting its pool hill removed
6-Star is being lauded as yet another masterpiece by Sledgehammer Games, taking inspiration from the layout of the iconic Raid map, albeit stretched out and sprinkled with some rather quirky routes.
But it has one of the most annoying Hardpoint hills ever made, as Sledgehammer opted to place one objective in the pool; players literally need armbands to secure points, which ruins the map/mode combination and has been the reason why it has not been added to Ranked yet.
However, ex-Call of Duty pro and World Champion Chris "Parasite" Duarte has now claimed that a hotfix is set to be deployed for MW3 which will move the Hardpoint objectives, including the pool, and this will directly impact the map being added to Ranked.
Other Hardpoint locations are also set to be tweaked too, although it's not yet known whether any will affect the Ranked pool.
6 Star set to be added to MW3 soon

After the Hardpoint changes, 6 Star is set to be added to the competitive map pool for Hardpoint, and could soon also feature in Search and Destroy, while Control has been voted to remain the same, despite some bids for the removal of Highrise.
This change will likely come into play for Ranked as of this week, ahead of CDL Major II on April 12, where Vista Hardpoint will also be added over Invasion. Skidrow is making way for 6 Star.
Although these new maps would have been incredible for Modern Warfare 3 from the get-go, the live-service model is proving incredibly fruitful this year, and only more positivity can come from adding fun and entertaining new maps.
