Modern Warfare 3's worst map will be horrid with pay-to-win MW2 skins

Modern Warfare 3 is about to be infested by invisible pay-to-win skins and will make the worst map even less bearable.

Modern Warfare 2 has a serious tree overpopulation problem going on, with Infinity Ward planting too many stumps and forbidding any deforestation.

But maybe it might be time to get the old woodchipper out, as the rabble of roots and twigs that is Gaia is set to make Modern Warfare 3 unbearable.

With Modern Warfare 2's skins and Operators set to port into Modern Warfare 3, fans have quickly realised that one of the worst maps to already exist is about to get even worse.

Modern Warfare 2's Gaia problem will be worse in MW3

Gaia - or Groot to many given the likeliness of Guardians of the Galaxy's cute little hero - is a major issue in the last chapter of Modern Warfare 2, with fans calling for its nerf for well over a month.

Yet the skin persists as opaque, blending into so many different surroundings, and now players have noticed that the colour palette is the same as Estate in Modern Warfare 3.

Taking to Reddit, players popped in stills of Gaia in action onto Estate and it serves like a game of Where's Wally, with many of the Tree-men going unseen.

MW3 fans make a final rally for Gaia to be nerfed

If you fancy a fun game, the above Reddit post has ten Gaias (as far as we can tell), and if you spot them all within 5 seconds then Modern Warfare 3 will be no issue for you and your ACR will be blessed with good aim.

But for most, this skin appears to be an absolute menace on this map which has already become an instant flop for fans after the Beta.

With this spot-the-Gaia puzzle now going viral, fans have realised just what we're in for.

"F**k, hadn't thought about this skin and map combo. Fun times ahead I guess," one fan said on Reddit.

Another called for it to finally get nerfed and made more visible. "They’d be insane not to nerf this skin on launch day. I get they want to milk this pay-to-win BS for WZ2 but this will seriously hurt MW3 sales if they don’t fix it," they said.

This was also echoed by another fan, who added, "I hope they nerf that skin to s**t as part of the carryover. No one can argue that they altered what they 'paid for' when the carryover was never a guarantee at the time of purchase."

Considering Gaia was bound to the Battlepass, Activision might be biding its time until the pass runs out, which should coincide with Modern Warfare 3's release, and if we'd be so lucky, it'll get altered.
