Monster Hunter Wilds

It took long enough, but we now know when we'll be able to play Monster Hunter Wilds - February 28, 2025.

The next action RPG in the long-running franchise, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, finally received a release date at Sony's State of Play showcase.

Monster Hunter Wilds launches in February

While the reveal of Ghost of Yotei, a Ghost of Tsushima sequel, may have caught the attention of many, Monster Hunter Wilds' new trailer gave us a better look at some of the monsters we'll be turning into armour come February.

As per the PlayStation Blog, we got looks at Arkveid, Uth Duna and Quematrice, while players who have saved data from Monster Hunter World and its Iceborne expansion will gain bonus items.

I played Monster Hunter Wilds at Gamescom, and was very impressed by how ambitious it feels.

I said "Monster Hunter Wilds is an ambitious next step for a franchise that could have rested on its laurels, and the result makes World look like a first draft."
