Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson had a slimy end to his weekend after winning big at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2022. The news comes after the 23-year-old uploaded his most recent YouTube video which has already pulled in over 20 million views.
MrBeast has dominated YouTube in recent times. Pulling in a mind-blowing number of views with his wild and bizarre content, MrBeast went on to smash the record for the most number of views in 24 hours with his real-life Squid Game video. Things have only gone up and up for the YouTuber since then, gaining an average of 100k subscribers per day.
So, when MrBeast's name popped up in the nominations for Favourite Male Creator at the Kids' Choice Awards, fans knew there was one clear winner.
MrBeast Wins Favourite Male Creator At Kids' Choice Awards
At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on April 10, MrBeast took home the prize for Favourite Male Creator. The content creator subsequently beat out some stiff competition from the likes of Austin "Austin Creed" Watson, TikToker Spencer "Spencer X" Knight, and streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins.
Stepping up to the stage to accept the award, MrBeast said: "Thank you everybody who voted for me. Honestly, my mom has kept every award I've ever gotten since tee-ball when I was like three years old. So, I know she's gonna be super excited when I hand this to her." Feeling an impending slime splash was on the way, MrBeast looked around anxiously before, of course, being pelted in the face with a big splat of green goop.
MrBeast certainly wasn't the only big winner of the night with TikTok star Charli D'Amelio taking home the award for Favourite Female Creator. Whereas, Spider-Man: No Way Home struck gold, picking up the accolade for Favourite Movie along with Tom Holland and Zendaya winning Favourite Movie Actor and Actress, respectively.
MrBeast Uploads Latest Video '$10,000 Every Day You Survive Prison'
MrBeast's win comes straight off the back of him uploading his new YouTube video '$10,000 Every Day You Survive Prison', which is already the number one trending clip on the platform, as of writing. In the video, MrBeast trapped one of his friends Josh in a small enclosed room with only 24 items and pieces of furniture to keep him entertained. For every 24 hours he stayed, MrBeast gave him another $10,000. However, he also removed another item each day.
In the end, Josh made it 22 days in the dome and picked up $340k after earning some extra cash throughout the experience, such as when he found a cheque for $100k stashed in a guitar which he smashed to bits out of frustration. In a very wholesome ending to the video, Josh gave some money to MrBeast's team to buy his girlfriend an engagement ring so he could propose to her at the end of his stay.
Sadly, there was no sign of MrBeast's fellow YouTube star Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren in the video, despite Ludwig sharing how he was flown to North Carolina for a shoot. However, no doubt MrBeast and his team will get to work editing the clip once he's got all the green slime out of his hair.
