After months of rumoured copyright struggles, the beloved Museum map is set to come to Modern Warfare 2. Still, fans are sceptical.

It seems like a lifetime ago since Modern Warfare 2 was revealed to the public with a divisive beta test designed to set players up for the pain and misery that they would go on to suffer throughout the first three months of the game's lifeline.
Filled with bugs and a bizarre weapon-levelling system, the Modern Warfare 2 beta wasn't quite the introduction to the future that we hoped it had been. However, there was one element of the game that proved more controversial than the others, and it came in the form of the multiplayer map Museum.
Museum came as one of just three maps playable in the beta, yet when the full game came to release, it was nowhere to be found amid a string of rumours surrounding copyright. Now, it appears these matters have been settled, and it will be finally coming in Season 2.
Museum Rumoured to Be Coming In Modern Warfare 2 Season 2
Loosely based on The Getty in Los Angeles (home of a range of European paintings, sculptures, and photography), Museum was reported to have been a centre of dispute for Activision after featuring in the beta.
But ahead of Season 2, more rumours have now surfaced that the large multiplayer map will finally be coming to the game.
The map design boasts three main buildings adjoined by balconies and walkways on the northern hemisphere, a circular fountain in a wide-open centre, and a garden area across the south.
MW2 Players Concerned At Museum's Reintroduction
With the multiplayer map apparently set for a Season 2 arrival, some Modern Warfare 2 fans have now expressed their concerns. Many players are worried that the map will take up one of the four usual multiplayer maps that come in seasonal updates, meaning another original design will be held back.
One Redditor said, "Cool, they will market this as a new map when it was supposed to be in the game from day one," while another joked that we've finally got a remastered Modern Warfare 2 map - a jibe at the lack of old-school designs like Highrise.
Some players were more optimistic about Museum, which could be quite a decent map now that players have learned the game and the developers have had the opportunity to chop away a bit of the dead space around the sides.
