It's more and more obvious that Call of Duty fans have a lot of nostalgia for the golden era of the franchise, whether it's the maps, weapons, or even campaigns.
However, one of the most iconic aspects of the classic titles was the sound design, with all of the guns being immensely satisfying to hear in-game.
Looking to capitalise on this, Activision released the Throwback Audio Pack back in June. This included the Good 'Ol Days AR blueprint and Lachmann Classic SMG, both fitted with OG audio.
Now, leaks have indicated that another audio pack is coming, and this time, it's for the MW2 (2009) Intervention.
MW2 players flame leaked classic Intervention sound bundle
Taking to Twitter on August 31, popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL shared a leak courtesy of Task Force Leakers, that another audio pack is set to be released for the MW2 (2009) Intervention. They even included a clip of the weapon blueprint and how it sounds in-game.
This has not impressed the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 community, who claim it's "still not how the OG MW2 one sounds though" and that it "sounds worse than the original sound and you gotta pay."
Others have gone a step further, arguing an "Audio pack bundle with sounds that came out 14 years ago has to be the biggest scam of all time."
Either way, there are still some fans in the comments who are talking about the "memories" hearing the sound has brought back, so it's likely the bundle will sell well when it eventually releases.
How much will MW2 2009 Audio Pack Bundle 2 cost?
There's currently no release date for the MW2 2009 Audio Pack Bundle 2, so we don't know when it going to hit the store. However, the last Throwback Audio Pack bundle cost 1,800 CoD points, meaning it's safe to assume this set will as well.
While there's been heavy backlash for the upcoming bundle since it was leaked, it's likely to fly off the shelves when the nostalgic sound pack finally becomes available.
