Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 has been announced and the major August 2 patch is going to bring a huge amount of fresh content.

With four new multiplayer maps, two new weapons, as well as Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage all being introduced as Operators, it's safe to say Activision is going all out with Season 5.

Of course, there's also a new BlackCell offering available to players that includes another black and gold Operator in the form of Arthur. While some fans are impressed with the skin and his trusty dog Merlin, others have slammed it as an "Infinite Warfare reskin."

MW2 fans claim BlackCell skin is ripped from "Infinite Warfare"

Taking to the ModernWarfareII subreddit, user the_blue_flounder posted a picture of the Season 5 BlackCell Operator and claimed it's "literally an Infinite Warfare reskin."

This sparked a discussion in the community, with one fan arguing, "Honestly, all the paid content in MW2 has been really lazy and feel thrown together by a committee of people who don't even play CoD."

Another is convinced there's a lack of creativity in the design team, claiming, "Wow talk about copy and paste from the trash bin," implying the devs have ripped it straight from Infinite Warfare.

Of course, not everyone hates Arthur and his trusty dog Merlin. There are plenty of the community revealing that they're actually going to purchase BlackCell for the first time.

Other MW2 fans love "cool" Arthur BlackCell Operator

For some players in the thread, Arthur's futuristic appearance and Infinite Warfare-style features mean this will be the "first time I buy Blackcell, this skin is actually unique unlike the last two."

Others are just over the moon that the Operator comes with a dog, celebrating, Wtf he just has a dog with him 24/7? That's so sick."

With BlackCell once again costing $29.99 in Season 5, it'll be interesting to see how popular the package is within the community, but it's clear Arthur's appearance is already dividing players.
