Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 kicks off on August 2, and it's bringing a huge amount of fresh content to the game.

The patch includes the FR Avancer AR, the Carrack .300 sniper, four new multiplayer maps, and of course, more action-packed modes. Despite this, it's often the cosmetics that get Call of Duty fans the most excited, especially those included in the Battle Pass.

Well, the Season 5 Battle Pass skins have been revealed, and it's safe to say some fans aren't particularly impressed. Slamming them as "pathetic" and "bland," it's clear players are disappointed with the simple Mil-Sim designs.

CoD players hate new Season 5 Battle Pass skins

Taking to Twitter on July 31, popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL showcased all of the main Operator skins coming in Season 5 Battle Pass. While some fans were happy with the offering, others were extremely disappointed with the "bland" designs.

"Apex is the only game to have a battlepass that offers a sick skin at the end, this is just pathetic," said one frustrated fan, with another arguing "That looks like complete s**t, they look like Roblox characters."

For others, the new skins just don't stand out from the crowd and are somehow "lower effort than normal." With the reception towards Season 5 BlackCell being a little more positive, it's likely a lot of the community is going to opt for that package that includes the Battle Pass as well.

How much will the MW2 & WZ2 Season 5 Battle Pass cost?

MW2 Operator

As expected, the Season 5 Battle Pass in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will cost 1,100 CoD points from the store.

It's worth noting that if you complete the whole pass, you'll earn 1,400 CoD points back, making the next Battle Pass free if you're someone who plays consistently.

Of course, this is only worth it if you like the skins on offer and based on the initial reception, most CoD players aren't impressed.
