Modern Warfare 2 Season 6 launches on September 27 and the devs certainly haven't held back when it comes to top-tier cosmetics and collaborations.

Whether it's the superhero Spawn, Diablo 4's Lilith and Inarius, Hellsing's Alucard, or even a Doom chainsaw melee weapon, it's going to be hard to avoid the store in the next major update.

However, there's one skin that's getting a lot of attention despite not being a crossover, well, not officially anyway.

Call of Duty players absolutely love the new "Gaia" Nova skin as it reminds them of Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Call of Duty players love "Groot" Nova skin coming in Season 6

Groot is by far the most lovable character in Guardians of the Galaxy and while Call of Duty hasn't got around to organising an official crossover just yet, the new "Gaia" Nova has an uncanny resemblance.

While certainly a more evil version of Groot, there's no denying that the cosmetic must have drawn inspiration. Call of Duty fans agree and for a lot of them, it's exactly why they're going to buy it.

"They gave Groot the pre-workout," joked one user, with another revealing that they "can’t wait to spend $1000 dollars to get all these new skins" after seeing this cosmetic.

The skin officially is described as the "Mother of Nature" reflecting an "ancient goddess of considerable power and seeks ruination." While an interesting backstory, most fans will probably ditch it in favour of roleplaying as Groot, but we'll have to wait and see.

How to get Gaia Nova skin in MW2 & Warzone 2

Call of Duty Haunting

The "Gaia" or Groot skin for Nova will be released with MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 6 on September 27, so keep your eyes peeled.

Unfortunately, the price of the cosmetic hasn't been revealed just yet but we do know you'll have to purchase it from the store with CoD points. This means you won't be able to earn it for free or via the Battle Pass.

So, if you're a Guardians of the Galaxy fan, this might be the closest you'll ever get to playing Groot in CoD. Don't let the opportunity pass you by.
