Season 6 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is certainly looking to deliver when it comes to cosmetics, with the Battle Pass being heralded as one of the best yet and even BlackCell being labelled as an "instant buy."
On top of that, there's an array of spine-chilling Operators that hit the mark when it comes to encapsulating the spooky season. Of course, not everyone is in the market for a flashy Halloween skin and instead prefers a more low-key design.
Well, the devs appeared to have nailed that down as well, with a "fire" Paranormal Investigator bundle that's getting a lot of attention.
'Fire' Paranormal Investigator praised by Call of Duty fans
The Paranormal Investigator Operator bundle isn't your typical spooky skin, and that's exactly why it's so popular with the Call of Duty community. Celebrated for being "fire" on the ModernWarfareII subreddit, it's clear there's a demand for Halloween skins that don't always lean on being over-the-top and flashy.
While these cosmetics certainly have their place, sometimes simplicity is the best recipe. The whole design of the skin is extremely smart and sleek, almost suggesting they're part of the "secret service" or a private investigator.
"I usually only buy and play the collab operators, but I may have to make an exception for this slick lad," said one user, with another claiming that "Gus is low-key getting the best skins."
There was a debate about wanting an official X-Files crossover, as someone else concluded, "I'm almost glad this is just a skin and not actually a Fox Mulder operator because then my inner X-phile would require me to buy it." Cool, now make Stiletto into Dana Scully.
What's included in MW2's Paranormal Activity Operator bundle?
The Paranormal Investigator bundle will be available in the MW2 and Warzone 2 store on October 19, so you won't see it at the start of Season 6.
As expected, the package includes the Paranormal Investigator Operator as well as the Case File AR and the Paranormalist's Toolkit sniper rifle. Then there's the typical Gun Charm, load screen, emblem and sticker.
So, if typical Halloween skins don't appeal to you, this could be the ideal cosmetic to pick up this spooky season.
