MW2 players have major gripe with Pelayo’s Lighthouse map

Call of Duty players have big issues with the Estate remake, as the Pelayo's Lighthouse map is splitting opinions because of its huge surrounding area.

Despite Modern Warfare 2 embarking on a season of luxury and fine dining with the gold-tinted BlackCell Battle Pass upgrade, not everything is as shiny and eye-catching as it first appeared.

In fact, unless you're cracking your brightness up on your TV and playing with a headtorch attached, you will undoubtedly miss most of the extravagance.

Season 3's two new maps, Pelayo's Lighthouse and Black Gold are so dark that you'll find yourself squinting at every moving object. But that's not the real issue with the Estate remake, as fans have spotted one major flaw in Pelayo's Lighthouse.

MW2 Pelayo's Lighthouse critics are all saying the same thing

Pelayo's Lighthouse has been quite well received, despite its eye-straining colour palette. Notably, many players are appreciating the redesign of Estate's main building.

However, the sheer size of the surrounding areas has been enough to drive fans crazy as they get lost in the darkness. "I like it, just hate the running around for 2 minutes trying to find where the enemies are at and then getting shot from my own spawn," said one fan.

"It's way too big for 6v6, I like the theme of the map, but holy hell does this map play painfully slow," said another.

MW2 fans want 10v10 Moshpit back for Pelayo's Lighthouse

With the main problem for Pelayo's Lighthouse being the size - or at least the size of the outside areas where few engagements are found. Players are now asking for the 10v10 game mode to return, which would densely populate the map and make it more entertaining.

"If you're playing 10v10 on it. It would be immaculate. But yet again. It's a 6v6 map that's just a little too big," one fan said. "I personally think these bigger maps would do better in a permanent 10v10 playlist," said another.

There are supporters who have defended the map, saying that it has become a victim of the Shipment-factor, where players have to have constant gunfights unless it is "boring." To be honest, we'll take new CoD content where we can get it.
