There are countless iconic characters in the Call of Duty franchise, but none are as popular or as recognisable as Ghost. The masked soldier is known for his skull-patterned balaclava and no-nonsense attitude when it comes to completing missions and objectives.

All of this and the mystery surrounding him has made Ghost a fan-favourite Operator in MW2, with many players using him as their default model while decimating their foes in multiplayer. His popularity means fans look forward to new Operator skins for him, but the latest one certainly hasn't been well-received.

Slamming the new Senpai Ghost skin as an 'abomination' and 'trash', it's clear CoD players aren't impressed with Infinity Ward's design for the latest line of Modern Warfare 2 cash-grab skins.

MW2 players call Senpai Ghost skin an 'abomination'

Taking to Twitter on June 28, popular Call of Duty account CharlieINTEL shared an image of the new Ghost Senpai Operator skin that's just arrived in the store.

The response to the cosmetic was overwhelmingly negative, with user one describing it as an 'abomination' and another claiming the design is 'trash.'

It's clear some players were just confused about what direction the designers took when making the skin, questioning, "What is this bro?" Another grumbled, "Not gonna save the mid game," while someone asked whether this is "Call Of Duty New Bundle Every Day Warfare."

One user even went as far as to say that "Call of Duty really does struggle to do anything right huh," after they thought it was impossible to 'ruin' a Ghost skin.

How much does Senpai Ghost Operator skin cost in MW2?

The Ghost Senpai skin is a part of the Tracer Pack: Ghost or Akihabara bundle, which costs 2400 CoD points in the store. It's worth noting that the pack also includes two weapon blueprints, one for the M13B and another for the Bryson 800.

While the Ggost Senpai skin has been hit with a lot of backlash, it'll be interesting to see how many players purchase the bundle over the coming weeks. Cosmetics like the Rat Pack got a lot of hate on arrival, but in the end, countless players bought the skin. We'll have to see if it's a similar case for Ghost Senpai.
