To put it bluntly, Call of Duty's obsession with 4/20 is one of the most entertaining times of the year.

Since the days of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) when new weed-themed calling cards would sprout out of the ground, Call of Duty has continued to produce skins and customisation features that all potheads loved.

And so in Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games might have just taken home first prize in the plinth of marijuana madness, as the Cheech and Chong bundles are being applauded for the best animations we've seen in years.

Cheech and Chong's bundles applauded for blunt and bong death animations

Death animations are fairly new to the series, but specific bundles have been toying with different dismemberment mechanics when you lose a gunfight.

But where some kill quips will have you exploding into confetti, or blowing into a luminous skeleton, the Cheech and Chong bundles are turning dead enemies into blunts and bongs.

The first animation, linked to the two tracer round weapons, will see the fallen dead get rolled up into a fat spliff, which will then disintegrate into a puff of smoke.

The second, linked to a yet-to-be-released second bundle will see players' remains get warped into a bong-head, and you can presume the mary-jane will be littered with the ashes of the deceased.

Modern Warfare 3 is feeling the effects of 420

The 420 celebrations aren't slowing down either, as Snoop Dogg will be featured as the Battle Pass starter unlock reward, for both the usual and Blackcell pass, the latter of which will be warping the world-renowned smoker into a Doberman dee oh double gee.

Snoop, Cheech, and Chong will also be sparking up life to a new psychedelic game mode named "get high", which will get you feeling like you're hallucinating.

The dank duo will also be puffing in your faces if they get a chance to pull off a finisher move on you, so keep your noses alert, as no doubt you will be able to smell them through the mic as they near your location.

So, whether you're partial to a zoot or two, or just like cool animations, the Cheech and Chong bundles are blunt-ly brilliant and could be an automatic purchase for the bundle buyers among us.
