With Modern Warfare 3 comes everything that we loved from back in 2009, as all 16 of the classic maps from the original MW2 title are being copied, pasted, and updated to suit the current-day graphics.

Previously, the developers have claimed that they were reluctant to release these remasters though, with fears that the new movement and gunplay mechanics have out-dated these landscapes, even if many of them have already been re-released.

The news that they are finally pulling the trigger and blasting these out of the chamber and onto our screens has been met with scepticism from fans though, who hope that the magic can be recaptured without destroying their legacies.

But now, these worries are beginning to be alleviated, as the Modern Warfare 3 trailer has proved that Sledgehammer Games is pulling every little nuance out to make sure the maps are an absolute hit.

Highrise Remastered will have all the original trickshot spots in MW3

We already know that Modern Warfare 3 will be altering the classic maps somewhat, as they've confirmed there will be some slight tweaks to Rust.

But the biggest question mark was Highrise, as fans will remember the classic map was filled with glitch spots and secret sniper points to serve as recon over the helicopter pad.

Now, as seen in the Modern Warfare 3 trailer, all of these iconic places will be available in the remastered version.

As you can see, characters can run up the crane on the far side of the map, access the roof in the attacker spawn, utilise the ramps on the side of the map, and generally access a lot of parkour spots that have populated thousands of montages over the last 14 years since its first release.

Modern Warfare 3 fans want more classic trickshot places

While Highrise might be getting the classic treatment, the same doesn't appear to be said for Skidrow, as one fan has already pointed out there are some differences between the OG game and the trailer.

Call of Duty-centric content creator "Shawstin" posted that one feature has already been modified that might take away from the good old wallbang trick shots from back in the day.

"I'm sceptical, it's these little changes that'll add up and make the maps lose their original charm and gameplay," Shawstin said on Twitter.

Another fan agreed saying, "maps will look cool but I fear they won’t play the same at all because of the movement and changes like this plus potential doors."

With many, many more nerd spots from the Modern Warfare 2 maps (think about the Favela Easter Egg too) fans are hoping that not too much is being changed that will take away from that real nostalgia boost.
