Finally, Modern Warfare 3 is here, and it looks like every wrong thing that Infinity Ward meddled with for MW2, Sledgehammer Games have been putting to right.

But that doesn't mean there isn't cheese to be manipulated, and after just one small showcase for the Call of Duty elite streamers and pros, players have found one incredibly "overpowered" tactical equipment that is causing a problem.

Just a mere few games into the Modern Warfare 3 beta, and before it is released to the public, Battle Rage has risen to the top of everyone's loadout choices, only to be smacked back down.

Modern Warfare 3 stunned at 'overpowered' Battle Rage

Battle Rage was first added to Call of Duty in Modern Warfare 2, where the stimulant was supposed to beef you up and help you go on a rampage. Targetted specifically at those run-and-gun players, the Field Upgrade was supposed to be similar to Dead Silence in its activation, assisting in health regeneration and movement speed.

It never reached its true potential in MW2 though, and it appears Sledgehammer Games has opted to run it through the pack-a-punch machine for MW3, bringing it out as an instant much-need part of your loadout.

As seen in the CoD Next exhibition, Battle Rage has been adopted by nearly every player, and its clear to see why, as one clip in particular has left players absolutely stunned.

The short clip of CDL player Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas-Castro has blown fans' minds as he ate a reported 21 bullets in nearly 10 seconds of action and barely dipped below half health (only briefly for half a second), as the "OP" Battle Rage instantly regenerated his health to a full bar.

"20+ shots hit and not dying is crazy," said Call of Duty reporter Cory "CRONEE" Davis.

"He was EATING them shots," added another fan, while a third added, "Yeah that has got to be reworked for sure".

The feature is now also a tactical grenade (like a flashbang), rather than a Field Upgrade, meaning you have this once every life.

Sledgehammer Games reveals Battle Rage is being nerfed before the MW3 Beta

To some surprise though, Sledgehammer Games has taken absolutely no time in taking action and has revealed that Battle Rage will be nerfed.

"Tomorrow, in the MW3 Multiplayer Beta, players will experience tuning for Battle Rage that is in line with our current vision for launch but wasn't present in today's showcase event," they said on social media.

Usually, these issues take days or weeks to be fixed, but Sledgehammer Games appears to be acting swiftly and deftly to make Modern Warfare 3 as balanced as possible.

Battle Rage might still be a rather popular choice, but not quite as 'overpowered' as the showcase revealed.
