The Modern Warfare 3 campaign is already bringing some of the most fearsome antagonists back from the dead to take on Captain Price and the rest of Task Force 141. Graves is big one being announced as alive, despite Soap and Ghost seemingly blowing him into smithereens.
It isn't the first time either, as Alex was presumed dead in Modern Warfare 2019, only to be later found to be alive and kicking - but only with one leg. This likely won't be the last time either, as two actors have confirmed their roles in Modern Warfare 3 as previously killed-off characters.
Modern Warfare 3 brings back Barkov and Kamarov from the dead
Barkov is a reboot-only character, having first been introduced in Modern Warfare 2019, but was killed at the hands of Farah in the final mission. On the other hand, Kamarov only featured in a small post-credit scene in the rebooted Modern Warfare series.
Kamarov appeared in Modern Warfare 2 alongside Kate Laswell and Price. He was previously killed in the last Modern Warfare 3, as Makarov had captured him prior to the final mission, stepped C4 to his chest and, detonating it in an attempt to take down Price.
Now, actors Gene Farber (Kamarov) and Konstantin Lavysh (Barkov) have posted an image on social media which appears to put them back on set together for Call of Duty.
Modern Warfare 3's Barkov revival is the weirdest non-death yet
Barkov's revival is by far the most surprising, as campaign players will remember plunging a knife into his torso multiple times before chucking him off a moving helicopter into a fiery oblivion.
That happened within the current timeline, making his non-death much more surprising than Graves, who we can assume bailed from the exploding tank just in time.
One theory could be that he isn't alive, and instead, is simply featured in a flashback. Or, what if he's involved in a mission pre-dating his death, where he first worked with Makarov. Either way, Modern Warfare 3 is bringing out all of the stops to make one of the best campaigns yet.
