Modern Warfare 3 is plagued with spinning aimbot cheaters that are almost impossible to kill and can wipe entire multiplayer lobbies.

The Modern Warfare 3 community's view of RICOCHET is at an all-time low, with the majority of players having no faith that the system is working effectively.

While there was widespread excitement for the anti-cheat when it was first released, this has died down completely after more and more hackers have taken over multiplayer.

Although consistent ban waves have been announced wiping out thousands of bad actors, fans argue that the hackers just make new accounts and continue the chaos.

Now, it's got to the point where cheaters are just sitting in the middle of a map spinning around and killing every enemy that enters their sightline.

MW3 community argue the cheating problem is getting worse

As showcased by DarkSyndicateYT on the ModernWarfareIII subreddit, cheating in multiplayer has reached a comical level, with hackers simply sitting in the middle of a map with an LMG, spinning around, and killing everyone.

There is no counterplay for this third-party software because as soon as you enter the hacker's sightline, you're immediately sent to the kill cam screen.

For users in the thread, it's simply unacceptable that massive amounts of effort go into creating cosmetics, but very few significant improvements have been added to RICOCHET.

"Activision needs to fix their game instead of putting f**king weed sloths in the shop for 15 dollars," said one user, with another arguing, "Multiplayer has been a cesspool for the last 3 weeks."

Call of Duty fans blame MW3 Free Weekend for influx of hackers

Fire skin MW3

While rampant hacking has been an issue for months, some fans argue that free weekends are by far the worst time to play MW3.

According to them, cheaters in these periods are everywhere, as there are effectively no consequences for creating accounts endlessly.

"This is what happens when the game allows players to play for free... It's trash and free weekends are a slap in the face to us who paid for the game and want to be protected from this," said one user, with another saying it's the "Free trial weekend - yesterday in ground war, the enemy team had a lvl 26 head shotting everyone with an MCW from the top of a crane."

A lot of MW3 fans feel like a broken record when it comes to the hacking problem. The devs keep making promises and claiming improvements have been rolled out, but the state of multiplayer doesn't seem to be getting any better.
