Although much of the Modern Warfare 3 content is based on the 2009 title MW2, its namesake game is still deep-rooted in the influence of Sledgehammer Games' project.

So much so that the rather confusing world of Modern Warfare has begun intertwining in ways that can begin hurting the canonical brains.

But in typical CoD fashion, there are plenty of Easter eggs and homages to its history embedded into Modern Warfare 3, and fans have just found the latest one to be discovered.

Modern Warfare 3 plays homage to its original title

Modern Warfare 3's latest map to be added has already been found to be full of Easter eggs, namely a Breaking Bad token among others.

One player has now found another reference to MW3's namesake ancestor in Stash House, and players are kicking themselves that the obvious POV hasn't been recognised earlier.

On Stash House, players will be familiar with the moving truck on the front lawn and likely will have walked through its open side doors to lodge a flank on the spawn-camping head glitch merchants.

Well, it turns out that the truck is a staple feature in the series and the moving company has been used in Modern Warfare 3 maps before.

One Reddit user, whose name will not be re-typed, has found that the Quick & Fast Moving truck was also featured in the Modern Warfare 3 (2011) map Underground.

The company name was Marley & Griffin Moving Specialists back in 2011 though, but the same logo persists and the font is a direct match on the exact same white truck.

"Nice catch, wonder how many small details are also overlooked," admired one fan.

Despite not being the most ground-shaking Easter egg ever, the neat little homages to the original Modern Warfare 3 are greatly enjoyed.
